Technological innovations in CCUS

Due to the speeding climate change the energy transition is more urgent than ever. For a successful energy transition new, sustainable energy sources and –systems are necessary. This task is big, complex and worldwide. But the development of (new) sustainable energy sources alone is not enough. Development takes a lot of time and to bridge the gap between the CO2 emittance at this moment and the goals of net zero emittance in 2050, we need to explore alternative solutions. One of these solutions is Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage, CCUS.

From May 2021 until April 2025, 19 partners from 7 countries collaborate in the ConsenCUS project to develop “CarbOn Neutral cluSters by Electricity-based iNnovations in Capture, Utilisation and Storage. Read more about us >
